After much deliberation I’ve finally decided to move the development of the Flickr Screensaver over to the Codeplex web site. This means that if you’re really sad you can now see the source code for the screensaver.
Also, if you have any problems with it that’s the best place to post a bug report or feature [...]
The latest version of the Flickr.Net API library has been released. Its finally got full support for the Compact Framework in the source code (.Net Framework 2.0 SP 1 and later).
As usual, let me know (hopefully via the Codeplex web site) if you’ve got any problems.
FlickrNet API Library
I’ve finally got around to releasing a new version of my screensaver. It unfortunately doesn’t add much functionality, but it should get around the “threading” error, as well as fix a bug or two elsewhere.
Download Flickr Screensaver 4.1 (420k)
As usual, let me know if you have any problems.
Title says it all really, the Flickr.Net API Library has been used to produce a very nice styling and templating demo for the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF). Its called ‘PhotoStore’.

Thanks to Nick (heatxsink) the Flickr.Net source code in now included in the latest Mono source code. That means anyone using the latest version of mono will be able to use the Flickr.Net library to interogate Flickr. Wow, its a bit like being included in
the .Net Framework - feels weird. In Mono its known as [...]

OK, I’ve written a Flickr Uploader using the .Net Compact Framework 2.0 (SP1).
I don’t actually have a pocket PC or similar device so if you have any success, or problems then let me know.
You can download the redistributable for the CF here.
Copy the Cab file to your mobile device and then double click it in [...]
I’ve created a quick example Flickr.Net web site in Visual Studio 2005, for both VB.Net and C#. There is a simple page that performs authentication, and stores the resulting authentication details in the session variables. There is also a very simple
photo album, showing the latest 20 photos from your photo stream. The [...]
I’ve done a batch of bug fixes and updates to the FlickrNet API library, including Photos.DateAdded which tells you when a photo was added to a group, and the PhotosRecentlyUpdated method which details your recently updated photos.Download from

A new application using the Flickr.Net API Library has been launched. Basically allows easy and quick uploading of your web cam images onto Flickr! Cool or what. Possibly based on the Coding 4 Fun article that tells you how to hook up a web cam using Visual
Studio 2005 it looks like everything I [...]
A new release of the FlickrNet API Library. This release includes full support for the new Flickr Geotagging features, including searching by location, getting and setting of photos location information and the permissions associated with that geo information.
Some example code: Searching and Setting Geo Location. Download the latest release binaries here. and the source code [...]
You may be aware that if you have currently got uploaded photos containing GPS data inside the EXIF then this data is not being loaded into Flickr’s new Location database. The following is a little web app that does just that for you. http://www.wackylabs.net/dev/georetagr/
It uses phpFlickr and I managed to [...]
The FlickrNet API Library has a new home, on CodePlex, the new open source hosting platform from Microsoft. I made this decision to try to bring together source code, release files, discussion and documentation into one place, rather than the current situation
where it is on two or three different web sites. http://www.codeplex.com/Wiki/View.aspx?ProjectName=FlickrNet The site [...]
Flickr Mashups Book
I thought I’d mention that I’m currently working as Technical Reviewer for a new book from Wrox about writing Flickr Mashups. To quote:
Using mashup technologies including REST, Ajax, JSON, SOAP, XML-RPC, CSS and more
Using Flickr API Objects such as Interestingness, Tags, Sets, Groups and others
Remixing Flickr with Flickr feeds

Just released some bug fixes, plus adding a few more supported methods and parameters to the code.
There are two undocumented features included in this release - the Photo.RawTags return by various search methods, and the TagMode.Boolean search tag mode (boolnea tags take the form of “+findme -notme” - I’ve yet to find a way of [...]
Well I finally got around to writing some Flickr.Net API Library sample applications.
The sample (in both C# and VB.Net) consists of a number of forms, each of which illustrates a seperate task. I’ve an article to go with the sample app but you’ll have to wait for that.

A couple of blogs I’ve found about people trying things with the Flickr.Net API recently…
Flickr.Net and LINQ
LINQ is a new set of APIs from Microsoft for .Net Framework 2.0. It adds a load of really cool language extensions to both C# and VB.Net. Some of these extensions are taken from common dynamic languages like LISP [...]
Just some bug fixes, plus adding a few more supported methods and parameters to the code. I also finished the code comments, so intellisense should now show up something for each method at least.
