A thumbnail image is the same for a video as it is for a photo, just
use ThumbnailUrl or SquareThumbnailUrl property of the Photo instance.

Hi Sam! Can you provide me little more information how to use thumbnailurl?? or any reference to the example??

Can I play flickr video in JW player? as it supports only those site's videos which provide API.

What is JW player?

You can click on the "All Sizes" button next to a video you should be
given URLs for thumbnails if all you want to do is embed them in
Myspace. If however you are actually using .Net to access the photos
then use the ThumbnailUrl as a Url (you don't say what you are doing
with it, so its not easy to tell you what to write).

I actually want to allow users to embed the code of videos (to their accounts in my site). Then there is need to display image of video which will be displayed in main page. By this, user will be able to easily select the video(by seeing the thumbnail...).

For jw player, see:

Sounds like it might just be easiest to call Flickr.PhotosGetSizes.
This will return all the thumbnail URLs as well as all the links to
the video files you can use with this player.

I'd love to help but I'm not sure what exactly your problem is.

Perhaps if you tell us a bit more about what you are actually trying
to achieve - i.e. is this a web application, are you using C# or
VB.Net, perhaps even a code snippet showing what you have tried so

Sam! I have to use this in web application using

For example, here is the embed code for video:

<font face="Verdana" size="1" color="#999999"><br/><a style="font: Verdana" href="">End of Nations Trailer</a><br/><object width="425px" height="360px" ><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"/><param name="wmode" value="transparent"/><param name="movie" value=",t=1,mt=video"/><embed src=",t=1,mt=video" width="425" height="360" allowFullScreen="true" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent"></embed></object><br/><a style="font: Verdana" href="">IGN</a> | <a style="font: Verdana" href="">MySpace Video</a></font>

Embedding this code will show player of with related video in  aspx page.

While this video plays, i want to get an image from it using

I hope now you will understand the problem.

Err, no, that doesn't help me at all. What has that got to do with Flickr?

I can only help you with Flickr questions. If you have a question
about how to get a thumbnail from a Myspace video then I have no idea
if a) that is even possible, and b) if it is how you would do it.

Ok sam! I just wrote an example. Same like if i use Flickr video, then how can i get thumbnail from embedded code??
May 6, 2010 at 9:11 AM
Well you need to scan the embed code, work out what the "photo id" is
(its called photo id even for videos) and then call either call
Flickr.PhotosGetInfo or Flickr.PhotosGetSizes for that photo id.

For example below is some embed code from Flickr:

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="300" height="400"
classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"> <param
<param name="movie"
<param name="bgcolor" value="#000000"></param> <param
name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed
bgcolor="#000000" allowfullscreen="true"
height="400" width="300"></embed></object>

The photo id in that example is "4583206312". Then, using your Flickr
API Key you'd do something like this:

Flickr f = new Flickr(ApiKey);
PhotoInfo info = f.PhotosGetInfo("4583206312");

Oh I don't know - maybe you want to try looking at the web site you're
on and see if you can guess where you might download that from.
