OAuth - Calls as Authenticated User Fails

Jul 15, 2013 at 6:02 AM
Integrating oAuth into my mvc web application using the Flickr Net library. The handshake works and as a result of debugging I am securing the oAuthToken and oAuthTokenSecret. When I create a Flickr.Net instance prior to making a call, I set the oAuthToken and oAuthTokenSecret as follows:
        private FlickrNet.Flickr GetAuthInstance()
            var f = new FlickrNet.Flickr(Key, Secret)
                    OAuthAccessToken = _oAuthToken,
                    OAuthAccessTokenSecret = _oAuthTokenSecret
            return f;
When I make a call to flickr.PhotosetsGetList() as an authenticated user it fails. When I make the same call unauthenticated passing a userId it succeeds. Unfortunately I’m not able to catch the exception. I’m using the framework at as an example.

Any suggestions?

This should work, provided the token and secret are correct.

There must be some way to catch the error, in a try/catch block or by debugging the code at the very least?

Thanks Sam for the quick response.

I was able to wrap the code with a try block. I get the message : Access to the path 'FlickrNet' is denied

Any suggestions?
