Hi (sam, I guess:-),

is async upload (as described here: http://flickr.com/services/api/upload.async.html) implemented yet?

Regards and thanks for the great library!

Did we ever find out if this has been or is going to be implemented?

Hi

No, it hasn't been implemented. I never really saw the need as you can simply run the unload on a background thread to perform the upload.

If you have a use case that requires this feature then let me know and I will look into it - it should be too hard.

Sam,

I did actually end up using a background thread (BackgroundWorker) as you mentioned.
I was concerned about being able to cancel the upload but I don't see a way to do that through the API anyway, oh well.

Thanks for the reply,
Steve

Correct, even if I implemented the Async upload from Flickr the actual
physical transfer of the file is still synchronous, it simply returns
you a ticket after you have performed the upload so you don't have to
wait for the file to be processed by the Flickr servers.
