Authentication for just my account without a round trip to flickr.com?

hi,

i'm trying to add my own photo's on flickr into a group i'm a member of using the 'GroupsPoolsAdd("photoid", "groupid") method.

at the moment, i get:

Method requires authentication but no token supplied.

i've dug around and it appears i need to be authenticated to do this (which makes sense) but do i have to go off to flickr 1st to get authenticated?

the thing being, my website i'm building is only being used by me for my flickr account. at no point does it work with any other flickr members details.

so, is it possible to authenticate just me without doing a round trip to flickr?!

thank you!

You will still need to authenticate with Flickr once, but if after you've done that you store the authentication token and reuse it (e.g. in web.config file perhaps).

hi sam,

genious! thank you for getting back to me, that makes a whole load more sense (couldnt belive i needed to go to flickr EACH time i wanted to do something...).

just wrote up a simple 2 step web form based on the code in you sample 'AuthenticationForm.cs' app.

worked a treat!

many thanks,

jake
